On December 8, Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, among all the bad news more or less at the time, I finally have a reason to sing ... and it's so good!
My soul magnifies the Lord, my spirit rejoices
in God my Savior!
He leaned on his lowly servant
henceforth all generations will call me blessed.
The Almighty has done great things for me:
holy is his name!
His mercy is from age to age
on those who fear him.
He has shown strength with his arm, he has scattered the proud

He casts the mighty from their thrones, lifted up the lowly

He fills the hungry with good things,
sent the rich away empty.
He protects Israel, his servant
he remembers his love,
From promise to our fathers, to Abraham
and his descendants forever.
Glory to the Father and the Son, and Holy
Spirit
Now and forever,
in ages. Amen.
